It's Ibalong Festival in Bicol!

If you can catch it, there’s a Siram na Sana Food Festival at 6 in the evening today at La Piazza Convention Center, Legazpi City. For Php350, there’s going to be an assisted buffet of all the specialties of local restaurants such as 1st Colonial Grill, Small Talk Cafe, Grilleria, South Ocean Villa, Ben’s Bakers, Kanzo, Sibid-Sibid and Concourse Legaspi.

And on Tuesday, Aug.16, there’s going to be a Pasta Bicol Express Cooking Contest at 10am at the Pacific Mall Entertainment Plaza.

i love the page but it's more informative if there's a background or history of the foods, it's origins and if procedure on how to cook the food is a good idea. and also the directions of the local food hubs, on how to get there. iyo man sana tabi mabalos. pwede ko tabi ining ishare na blog site nindo sa FB account ko?

Hello! So sorry for the late reply, we’ve been a little busy. :) Thank you for your idea. Our primary goal for this blog is visual appreciation and a little bit of commentary. I Love your site!!!! i'm a Bicolana, from Daraga specifically. my prob is during visits from my friends from other regions all they wanted to do is to taste the Bicol Cuisine. I have no idea what to feed them!Now at least I have some ideas. Thanks to u guys!!! May I suggest next time to widen your area (the whole region) as well as indicate the names and addresses of the restaurants of these lovely, delicious foods (so that I know where to bring my friends!)heheheeh! Kudos to u!!!!Proud to be a Bicolana!!!

We do plan on expanding our gastronomic trips to Sorsogon and Camalig/Guinobatan area, but please be patient, we need to fill up our wallets first. Hihihih. Today,Legazpi. Tomorrow,Sorsogon!Next week, Camarines Sur! Next month,the world! :))

Thank you for taking the time out to read our blog! It’s no big deal since we have fun filling up this blog and our bellies with good food. Hihihih. :))

I’ve eaten molido during fiestas and other special occasions from all over Albay so I can’t distinguish the molido made from Matnog and those from Camalig or anywhere else. We’re planning to go on a Sorsogon foodtrip by October so we’ll keep in mind to try it out!Would you know where we can get some of those?:)
